AI Agent Registry

A car has a registration number with an owner behind it. AI agents that shop, write, pay and act on behalf of people and companies have had nothing like it. ATC gives every AI agent a registration number linked to the person or company responsible for it, with a public lookup by number.

Every agent — with a registration number, a responsible party and a review against the ATC Trust Standard before registration.

See who stands behind an agent

Enter the registration number the agent displays.

The registry is also machine-readable for other agents and systems: aiact.bg/registry.json

Why a registry

An anonymous agent raises suspicion. An accountable one earns trust.

AI Act transparency

Article 50 of the AI Act requires that people know when they interact with an AI system. A registration number goes one step further: it shows who is responsible for it.

Trust from counterparties

Websites, platforms and businesses increasingly block unknown agents. An agent with a verifiable number and a real responsible party is treated as a partner, not as a bot of unclear origin.

Fast contact when things go wrong

If an agent makes a mistake or causes a problem, the affected party sees immediately whom to call — no investigation, no lost time.

What a record contains

One number, clear data

Number format: ATC-BG-year-sequence. A number is never reissued, even after the agent stops operating.

How it works

Four steps to a number

1

Application

Fill in the form below with details of the agent and the responsible party.

2

Verification

ATC verifies the identity of the responsible party and reviews the agent against the ATC Trust Standard. Where needed, you receive written recommendations before a number is issued. For companies — checked against the national company register.

3

Number

The agent receives a registration number and an entry in the public registry.

4

Display

The agent displays its number: when introducing itself, on its website and in the technical requests it sends.

How an agent displays its number

Visible to people and to machines

For people — a short line with a lookup link. For machines — an HTTP header on every request the agent sends.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is this an official government registry?

No. It is a voluntary registry operated by ATC (Kingsoft Bulgaria EOOD). It is not a government registry and does not replace any legal obligation. Its purpose is transparency: anyone can see who stands behind a given AI agent.

Does registration mean the agent complies with the AI Act?

No. Registration confirms who is responsible for the agent and what it is for. It is not a conformity assessment. If you need one, ATC offers it as a separate service — AI Act consulting.

How much does registration cost?

The first 50 registrations are free. After that, the price will be published on this page.

What is published?

The number, the agent’s name and purpose, risk level, status, and the responsible party with contact details — the latter only if you consent. Without consent, the registry only shows that the responsible party has been verified by ATC; the contact stays with us and is provided when there is a legitimate need.

When is a number revoked?

When the agent is used for fraud, spam, impersonation or any other activity prohibited by law, or when the responsible party’s contact stops working. Revoked numbers remain visible with status “Revoked” so they cannot be reused.
